Outdoor Learning, tailored to YOUR needs
Outdoor Learning - Tailored to your class
Bring your topic to life; we can create a day to enrich your pupil’s learning.
To date we have been able to offer;
A KS2 day linked to the book The Explorer - where the children did activities related to survival including map reading, fire lighting and den building.
A KS1 literacy linked to The Secret Garden, where the children created adjectival phrases to describe the Garden.
A KS1 day on Mindfulness.
A KS1 Science Day - about rivers.
A KS2 Science Day – about sustainability - including a walk to a hydro-electric scheme.
Health & Wellbeing
Help improve mental wellbeing with a day outdoors, playing and exploring nature
During our outdoor play and exploration days we so often see children who are quiet find their voices. We observe those who are loud, take time to stop and listen and ask questions and there is space to run off excess energy.
Den building helps promote team work, we take a ‘hands off’ approach, allowing children to solve their problems together, only offering assistance when it is asked for.
“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”
